The Book of Alzheimer’s is written for church leaders interested in helping families cope with dementia. Its
development was sponsored by the African-American Dementia Outreach Partnership (AADOP) at the University of
Kentucky’s Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. This manual is designed to share lessons learned during three years
of a national grant to build awareness and support related to Alzheimer’s disease in the Lexington/ Bluegrass area of
Kentucky.
